This Privacy Policy describes how our Resume Builder Application ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, processes, and shares personal and usage data when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App").

Please read this policy carefully. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Personal Data Provided by You

We collect the information you explicitly input into the App to construct your resume:

  • Identification & Contact Details: Full Name, Professional Job Title, Email Address, Phone Number, and Physical Location.
  • Resume Content: Work Experience, Education history, Skills, Certifications, Language proficiencies, and other custom sections.
  • Profile Images: Photos uploaded to be displayed on resume layouts.

Data Storage: By default, all resume profile inputs are stored locally on your device using encrypted MMKV and AsyncStorage mechanisms. We do not store your raw resume text on our databases.

B. Automatically Collected Data

When you use the App, we may collect technical usage details:

  • Device Characteristics: Device model, operating system version, and system language.
  • Usage Logs: Navigation actions, selected layout configurations, and compilation timestamps.
  • Crash Logs: Diagnostic logs generated when the App encounters runtime errors.

2. Third-Party Services Integration

To support, analyze, and optimize our services, we integrate third-party software development kits (SDKs). These providers may collect information directly from your device.

A. Google AdMob / AdSense

We use Google advertising services to display ads in the App.

  • Google may use device identifiers (like the Android Advertising ID) to serve personalized ads based on your visits to other apps or websites.
  • Opt-Out: You can control personalized advertising settings via your Google Account Settings or your device's operating system settings.

B. Google Firebase

We integrate Firebase to monitor app health and user behaviors:

  • Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous metrics to track screen views, duration of sessions, and overall engagement rates.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Captures crash details and device state to resolve software bugs.
  • Firebase Authentication: (Implemented for future rollouts) Handles secure user registration and login credentials.

C. Microsoft Clarity (Clarify Analytics)

We use Microsoft Clarity to capture session recordings and interaction heatmaps:

  • This helps us identify usability issues, broken layout gestures, and interface navigation roadblocks.
  • Clarity is configured to mask sensitive personal inputs (such as resume content) during session playback.

3. How We Process and Share Your Data

  • PDF Document Generation: We generate your resume PDF using on-device rendering libraries or secure, non-retaining server API processors.
  • No Selling of Data: We do never sell, trade, rent, or distribute your resume text or personal details to recruitment agencies, data brokers, or third-party marketing entities.
  • Compliance with Law: We may disclose your information if required to do so by applicable legal demands, subpoenas, or government orders.

4. Data Security and Retention

  • Your resume inputs remain on your device until you choose to delete them. You can delete any resume by swiping left on the document list card and selecting Delete.
  • We employ industry-standard security protocols to protect all transmission between the App and our Cloudflare worker API endpoints.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately to purge the record.

6. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after updates constitute acceptance of the modified policy.
